“Double Trouble”

The idea tomorrow is high intensity. Go hard or go home.

Workout for Tuesday, May 11th, 2021 —

12 – 9 – 6

Overhead Squats (135/95)

Box Jumps (30/30)

— 4 Minute Rest —

500 Double Unders

5 Burpees Every Time You Break

The first workout was from this past weekend’s Crossfit Age Group Qualifiers. The height of the box was 30″ for both women and men. The weight for the 35-54 year olds was 165/115. Ouch! We go lighter here, but scale if needed. Pick something that’s going to be a challenge.

The second workout is from @ropeclimb. If you really struggle with double unders, but want to give this a go, you can change it to five burpees every minute. If double unders aren’t your jam, try the same concept with a different movement, like 150-200 kettlebell swings or 50-100 pull ups. When picking a rep scheme, it should be something you anticipate needing to break into around 10 sets.

  2. 9 minutes for the first part. Subbed DB squat cleans w/35# DBs for the OHS. 30″ box.
23 minutes for the dubs. Ugh! That was hard. I’m not good at big sets and I tripped twice on my last set of 30.
