Anyone else still annoyed that “Step It Up, Cindy” didn’t actually have any step ups? Just me? Well this one is both grippy and chippy to make up for it. Don’t forget the devil’s presses and the cash out.
Workout for Sunday, January 9th, 2021 —
Buy In = 1,000m Row (sub 2x Bike or 800m Run)
50 Weighted Step Ups (50/35)
50 Dumbbell Push Press
50 Toes to Bar (sub toes to KB, leg raises or weighted sit ups)
50 Dumbbell Deadlift
50 Kettlebell Swings (53/35)
50 Pull Ups (sub bent over rows or 2x DB SDHP)
***Perform 3 Devil’s Presses after each exercise
Cash Out = 1,000m Row (sub 2x Bike or 800m Run)
This can be done with a barbell if you prefer. The theme is grippy stuff and I find dumbbells to be the grippier option. I’ll be using 25s.
30:10. Weighted sit ups and bent over rows as subs. Ran 800s buy in and cash out. 15# DBs and 36# KB. My forearms (and grip) was really going during KBS and I have never broken bent over rows that much before π³.

32:16. Turns out my 25# DBs are at home. Had to use 20s. Oh, well. π I liked this one. It was tough, but doable. Pull ups at the end were the worst. Broke those and T2B into sets of 5. Row on both ends.

32:33. 35# DBs. Subbed 75# back squats w/BB for deadlifts and BB hang cleans for KB swings to protect low back. Subbed knee raised and ring rows. Row for cash in and buy out.

29:50. Row. 35lb. Forgot to do the devils press. Did 18 after ring rows which I used for pull ups. Ttb knees to elbows. Sucked. Slow.
