“The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly”

Feel free to make this one whatever you need. The past few days have been gnarly if you’ve been following along.

Workout for Tuesday, March 16th, 2021 —

30 Minute EMOM:

1st Minute = Cardio (e.g. run, bike, row, dubs, burpees)

2nd Minute = Intensity (e.g. wall balls, kbs, light push press, hang cleans)

3rd Minute = Difficulty (e.g. heavy lift, challenging gymnastic move)

Repeat the pattern 10 times.

So, for the first minute pick a cardio exercise that takes you 40-50 seconds when you’re pushing it. You want your heart rate up but make sure you’re able to finish the round in 45 seconds(ish).

For the second minute, pick something that hurts to hold for 45 seconds but is doable either without breaking or only breaking once.

For the third minute, it’s about doing something hard, but getting lots of rest. It should be low reps (like 1-5). If you can’t go heavy, try something hard like wall walks, handstand kick ups or maybe man makers or devil’s press. Make sure it’s difficult but isn’t taking up the full minute. You should be getting a good amount of rest during this minute.

Stick with the same three exercises, repeating until the end.

  2. Done. Switched back and forth between minute 1: burpees/run minute 2: thrusters/push press minute 3: heavy kb swings/deadlifts.

    Paddy: Cardio = 15 Cal Row, Intensity = 12 WBs, Difficulty = Heavy Power Clean (up to 135)

  4. Yikes went a little to aggressive to start
    10 cal row each round
    Alt between push press/hang cleans at #55 got 30 per round except one bad round of HC got 25 only
    5 chest to bar per round for third minute
