“Caster Semenya”

Here’s a celebration WOD for you from @iron.roots.athlete. There are currently 25 states in the U.S. that have bills trying to ban trans girls from participating in girls sports. Here’s what I know…sports can have a tremendous positive impact on vulnerable youth and trans girls are one of our most vulnerable populations.

Workout for Monday, March 8th, 2021 —

You may want to do a test run of one round before you start. If you’re not able to complete a round in under 1:55 with at least 10 seconds rest to spare, make a plan to modify. Modifications can be less reps or more time per round. The cardio part should take you less than 1 minute. If you need more time, shorten the distance. If you just have no idea, forget the timing and just do eight rounds of this one.

  1. Had limited time today so this was good. I biked 400meters. Had too much rest so did 6 dble push-up, 7 jumpsquat and 8 air squat. Followed w 30min bike/core.

  2. Not sure how Amanda had “too much rest?!” I thought it was a bit on the barfy side. 400m bike. Got a little messed up trying to share the bike so ended up just doing as many meters as possible until it was Paddy’s turn. Guessing it was about 400 but didn’t look after the first 3 rounds. Had about 10 seconds rest. Arms felt heavy on the push ups.
