“Super Bowl LV”

LV = 55 for those who are roman numeral challenged.

Workout for Sunday, February 7th, 2021 —

55 Rounds For Time Of:

4 Air Squats

3 Push Ups

2 Lunges

1 Burpee Pull-Up

If you’re like, 55, um, ya no…grab a partner and alternate rounds. Another option is to decrease reps and keep the 55 rounds. If you don’t have a pull up bar or don’t do pull ups, you can sub a burpee deadlift, burpee broad jump, devil’s press or just a plain burpee.

Here’s your Super Bowl Sunday playlist. These are all songs that have been performed at Super Bowl halftime shows through the ages (thank you, Wikipedia).

  1. Partner workout with Schneidermike. We alternated rounds (27 each) until we got to 54, then did the 55th round together, so really 28 rounds each. Took around 18 minutes (we forgot to start the timer, and were a few rounds in, so had to guess the final time). We were both sore, so this was perfect.

  2. Cashed out with 800m run. This one was really cool in the transitions. For the burpee deadlift, we did a full burpee with a standing long jump to the kettlebell, so we got a jump and deadlift.

  3. 21:11. Subs for indoor workout (thought I turned on the heat in the gym but not so much) and injured finger (sliced open washing out a soup can). 4 air squats, 3 push ups, 2 lunges, 1 burpee to an imaginary target. Liked it. Could repeat with 100 rounds for a stinker of a workout or as a partner WOD.

  4. didn’t time it. 400m row, 10 rds (done as all air squats first then pushups etc), 400m row, 10 rds… until all 55 rds done.

  5. Did this on 2/11. Did 41 rounds in 19 minutes and had to stop because it was already 6:30. Should have set alarm earlier. Oops?
